Exuma Local is a directory and guide. It has no accounts, no booking and no payments, so it collects very little. This page explains what it does collect and why.
What we collect
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, record basic technical details of each request, such as the IP address, browser type, pages visited and time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure and are kept only for a short time.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser and sends anonymised usage data to Google. It runs only on the live site at exumalocal.com. You can block it with a content blocker or by disabling cookies for this site without losing any feature.
Contact and report forms. When you use the contact form or report a problem on a listing, we receive the name, email address and message you type, plus the listing it concerns. The message is delivered to our mailbox by an email service provider and kept there so that we can reply and act on it. We do not add you to any mailing list.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- We do not run advertising networks or tracking pixels on the site.
- We do not require an account, and we store no passwords or payment details.
Business listings
Listings show business contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses and websites so that people can reach the business. If a listing shows information about you that you want corrected or removed, use the contact form or the “report a problem” form on the listing and we will deal with it promptly.
Links to other sites
Listings and guides link to the websites and social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
